I absolutely love this piece ^^ Mario is actually one of my favorite characters, but sadly he is very underappreciated here at dA. I also like Giovanni a lot, but at least he gets a bit more attention. Funnily enough, I'm actually writing a few fics based around Mario and Giovanni when they were younger and just training to become assassins. Your picture made me think of that Thanks for the inspiration!
It's also my deep hope to see more Mario in dA. Mario's manly and rough appearance might differ him from most characters in AC series and it would be a bit harder for portraying. Looking forward to your Mario and Gio fic! And you're welcome
I could definitely see that. I'm terrible at drawing men to begin with, while I find women so much easier. Naturally, that makes it even harder for me to draw a larger, more 'manly-man' man (for lack of a better word), then it would be a slight, more curvy man.
Damn men, and their lack of curves Well, for drawing purposes, anyway.
The series I refered to is called Il Mentore, and I'm just starting it. But I've worked on a series in the past called Chess, which technically takes place in Ezio's time, but goes back and shows a lot from Gio and Mario's history. Anyway, if you are ever interested, I'd love to hear what you think of it
I'm used to draw fierce characters or animals, so drawing women is quite not easy to me and I always making them too...uh, rigid? Sorry about my poor vocabularies. Thank you for inviting me to your works! Though not quite familiar with English, I'll read them since I'm very interested in these awesome brothers And sorry if my inefficiency at reading comes to bother you.
Nah, rigid works And I know what you mean - I may not draw rigid characters for the same reason, but I have a hard time drawing, how do I describe it... relaxed, characters? They tend to appear too stiff and angular, like their muscles are always tensed. It's something I've been trying to fix ^^'
And not a problem! Your English is extremely good. You could have fooled me, anyway - from reading most of your posts, I would have just assumed that you're a natural English-speaker. My mom actually works with a girl living in China (they work online), and my mom is always helping her with her English, which is really good anyway. Just once in a while she says a phrase wrong or something, and it's actually really cute to see Because I know I wouldn't be any better trying to speak Chinese. I'd be a lot worse, in fact!
